Puy De Sancy

The village of Mont Dore nestles at the foot of the Puy de Sancy, at 1886 metres the highest point in the Auvergne, and indeed in the whole Massif Central.

The mountain is the culminating point of the Monts Dore range, and the climb to the top (including a stunning ski-lift ride) is rewarded by the view.
